Costings Guide

At Biggtime Productions, we charge by the job, not by the hour, and our fees are based on a number of things, including the individual clients' resources, budgets and requirements. It is therefore very difficult to give accurate guidance to costs until we have heard from you. When contacting us for a quote, please make sure you let us know your requirements, budget and the anticipated size of the audience as this will all help us to give you a more exact quote.

However, we will do our best on this page to give you a feel for how much different kinds of product might cost. We believe we can provide quality professional audio to suit all budgets so please do contact us for a personalised quote based on your specific needs. Additional mixes and a variety of bed-lengths can be provided with most productions. However, please be aware that re-mixes in a different musical or vocal style may incur additional costs.

Voiceovers

Voiceovers are paid for by the word... the more words are used, the more you pay. Special rates will apply for larger jobs. There is a standard recording fee of £20 on most voiceovers.

Original Composition

Costs for original composition can be quite varied and will be determined by such things as the length and complexity of the music required, variety of instruments needed, and whether or not singing is required (instrumental music generally being less expensive than sung music). By choosing original music composition you are ensuring that you won't sound like anyone else, and that your music will be entirely produced to meet your requirements. Email us for a quote.

Library Music

Although the standard is just as high, library music is less expensive than original music because it has already been composed and therefore is not being specifically produced for your project. On the positive side, you will get an excellent sound that suits and enhances your product at a very reasonable price. On the downside, it is always possible that someone else may have purchased the same music from us.

Jingles

Jingles will usually be a combination of one or more voices with either original or library music. Costs will therefore be based on combining a voiceover fee with a music fee.  Full station and programme ID package deals are available. Fully sung jingles without voiceover will be charged as original composition.

Royalty-free CDs

These can be purchased for £39.99 per CD (this includes UK postage and packing).

Sound Effects

These are available from as little as £1.00 each, dependent on the length and complexity of effect. If we are creating original sound effects for you then they are likely to cost a little more. There will be a £5.00 minimum charge on sound effects.
